“It’s very easy for someone to get up here, you just have to know how to.” Esmeralda replies, giving her a smile. ” I hope you don’t mind me coming to visit, I haven’t heard from you for a while and wanted to make you were ok.” She glances at pascal and gives him a gentle pet.

Ariel decided to do something she had never done before. She wanted to swim into a village where humans live. The mermaid swam towards land and began to swim up a canal that led into the city of Paris. It was dark outside, and not many people were on the streets, but Ariel was still very careful…
Esmeralda turns around startled upon hearing the voice. It took a second or two for her to finally find out where it was coming from, there in the canal was a red headed girl. “Awfully late for a swim, don’t you think Djali?” She asks her friend, glancing from him back to the girl. Motioning for him to follow her Esmeralda approaches the girl offering her a smile. “Hello Ariel, I’m Esmeralda. And this here is Djali.” She replies, gesturing to the goat who was looking at Ariel suspiciously. “I never thought I would see anyone taking a swim this late, especially here in the canal. Aren’t you cold?”
“It’s nice to meet you Esmeralda. Djali is adorable.” Remarked Ariel. “I guess it’s a little late, but I suppose you could say I’m used to the temperature. You see… I spend a lot of time in the water…” Apprehensively she poked her fin out of the water.
“Thank you.” She smiles,taking a seat beside her furry friend.”So you’re a mermaid?” Esmeralda asks in slight disbelief,sharing a glance with Djali before turning her attention back to Ariel.”Are you sure?” She shakes her head,laughing at herself after realizing what she just asked.”I’m sorry, I guess you can tell how surprised I am.”
